Nate loves an audience!

Nate had a special visitor this weekend - Aunt L! She flew in around dinnertime on Friday night, and we left Nate with a new babysitter. Even though she came highly recommended, we were nervous b/c she was only 19, a stranger to Nate, etc. However, he did great!!! And we had a good "night out on the town" in Nashville with L. We met up with an old friend that lives in Nashville, Dave Petrelli, and had dinner & drinks at a brewery on Broadway. Dave took us to The Stage. We played fashion police, had fun people-watching, and L&Dave enjoyed some Pabst Blue Ribbon (nasty, I know). We made it home a little after 11 pm, and our sitter said Nate had been an angel - thank goodness!

Saturday was a lazy day....we spent most of the day playing with Nate, watching football, but did manage to go out for pizza at Ahart's for lunch. Yum! Nate persuaded his Dad to give him some sweet tea for the first time, and it was a big hit. (But as you can imagine, with all that sugar & caffeine, Nate had a hard time settling down for his afternoon nap. Figures!) Nate was very entertaining all day with all of his funny faces. And like a good little puppy, he did all of his "tricks" for L and was very generous with his slobbery kisses. As a Wolfpack fan, L tried to teach Nate how to do the "woof woof" sign, but thank goodness, he didn't catch on! :) Greg cooked up a storm that night for dinner - beef fajitas are one of his specialties - and we had a delicious mexican fiesta. Nate got to chow down on one of his new favorite foods, tomatoes, so he was a happy camper.

Sunday, we tried out a new place for breakfast, Mimi's Cafe, and it was great. Even Nate enjoyed it - especially when he got to eat strawberries & bits of Aunt L's muffin. (Now that he is on whole milk, he is eating SO much more solid food!!) We had another lazy day after that, just hanging out at the house, watching football and Nate tear up the living room. Greg had a good time with one of Nate's birthday toys, the alphabet pal. He was trying his darndest to make it say cuss words. Awesome. My husband is so mature. (He did get a big laugh out of everyone when he made it say "fart.") I took L to the airport around 3:30 pm, and Nate was sad to see them go! He loves his Aunt L dearly and had so much fun playing with her!!

GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU GUYS ENJOYED A GOOD FAMILY GET TOGETHER. SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAD LOTS OF GOOD FOOD TOO. IT HAS NICE TO SEE NATE WEARING HIS MEMPHIS TIGERS SHIRT FOR HIS AUNT AND UNCLE, JUST WISH THEY WOULD WIN A FEW FOOTBALL GAMES.
