Visitors & Halloween Fun

Nanny & Poppy came for a long weekend, arriving late Friday night and leaving early Monday morning. They love coming here for Halloween, and have for the last 3 years in a row! It was nice to have them here, both to visit and to help with the kids! :)

Nate spent his time with N&P reading new books, going on walks, playing at the park, kicking the soccer ball with Poppy, playing games with Nanny, and entertaining everyone as usual with his 1000+ "why" questions. Here he is with Poppy on Halloween Eve...love those matching bandanas!

Abby showed off her funny faces, enjoyed her first oreo & sucker, played at the park, LOVED being pulled in the wagon for trick-or-treating, and learned how to climb the stairs (Thanks Nanny!)

Greg takes his pumpkin-carving very seriously, and was beyond disappointed when he found out Friday night that his pumpkin was rotten. He still managed to carve out a pretty good Woody, and Nate & I both thought he did an awesome job!!

Halloween was a fun night too...first up was Greg's yummy chili and then our BFFs Hallie & Grant stopped by for a quick visit before heading out to trick-or-treat.

Then it was time to trick-or-treat with the Pattons (Amy & Mal Mal - aka Jessie) around our circle. It was so much fun this year! Nate chose to be Woody from his favorite movie, Toy Story, and sweet Abby-doo was a ladybug. Nanny & Poppy graciously agreed to stay home and hand out candy while we took the kids around. Like mentioned before, Abby thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the spooky sights and was happy as a clam in the wagon. Nate insisted on getting in & out of the wagon at EACH house. Fun times! "Woody & Jessie" had a ball, and then cuddled up afterwards to check out their loot.

The family pic is so cute. And as a side note, I think Abby has more clothes than anyone I know - and they are all so stinkin' cute!!!
