I am happy to report that the kids are still alive, and I have a whole new respect for anyone with kids. Em's kids are easy, but I was still worn out. There were so many funnies but really anything Nate says to me these days are pretty funny (to me at least)!
There are a lot of funnies so bear with me!
Nate got up first on Thursday morning so we were watching TV together in bed...
N- Look Aunt Bebe, that is like the sword thing at the store that I want.
B- That's cool, do you want it for your birthday?
N- Yes, that is the only thing I want.
B- Really?! What else do you want Uncle Mike and I to get you for your birthday?
N- That is all I want, I have too many toys already.
B- So you are saying you don't want us to buy you a birthday present
N- Well, let me think about that first.
I am driving the van to the mall so they could play on the playground...
N- Aunt Bebe, don't pull out yet there is a car coming.
B- Thanks Nate, but I think I can handle driving the van.
N- I just want to help because Dad doesn't look sometimes.
B- Who is a better driver, Mom or Dad?
N- Dad drives too slow and Mom drives too fast.
We get to the mall and he sees Chuckie Cheese
N- There's Chuckie Cheese, Nanny and Poppy will probably take me there
B- That sounds like fun, I've never been there.
N- Just ask Poppy, he has lots of money in his wallet and will pay for you.
I took the kids to Target and let them pick out some toys (yes, materialistic Aunt)
N- I want that beach ball
B- Okay, put it in the cart and we can blow it up when we get home
N- What?
B- Once I blow air into it, the ball will expand.
N- What does expand mean?
B- Oh sorry, it means that it will get bigger
N- Why didn't you just say that? You don't need to use words I don't understand!
The kids were finishing dinner and I was clearing their plates
N- I ate most of my dinner so it is time for me to have dessert
B- There's nothing for dessert, maybe we can get something tomorrow.
N- Poppy will be here tomorrow and he always brings me lots of desserts.
B- That's right Nate, Poppy is very nice and brings you oreos.
N- I would like an oreo now, when will they get here?
After I put Nate to bed, I heard him crying my name from his bedroom
B- (Nate is pretending to cry when I walk in) What is wrong Nate? Are you scared?
N- Yes, I am scared.
B- Did the power rangers make you scared?
N- I had a nightmare and it scared me
B- Nate, you have to be asleep to have a nightmare
N- Oh, right
B- Save your stall tactics for Nanny !

Becky----Enjoy your time with the kids, some of my fondest memories are about the times I spent with Greg, Gena and Kevin. Some of then are still secrets between us--Aunt Molly

You were an awesome blogger and aunt. I could write a few funny comments from Nate if I could remember them all.
