This is a popular pumpkin patch in the Fall, but just recently we discovered it was open on Saturdays in the Spring as well. Of course, there aren't any pumpkins, but the rest of the farm is still in operation....which includes a massive petting zoo, and a huge play area with an extra-fast slide! As you can guess, that was quite a highlight for us.
But first was the animals. As to be expected, Nate was very timid with the animals and didn't want to get near them or feed them & get his hands dirty. Here he is, being coaxed by Daddy to feed the goats. Didn't happen.
Seriously though, these animals were so cute. Check out the goat seesaw!! The kids got a kick out of that one.
Sweet Baby Girl ventured into the "petting" part of the farm and had fun with Oscar the ear-less goat and some chickens and sheep as well. Can she please be any cuter!?
Beautiful peacocks....Nate is still talking about their "blue necks" today.
Our brave Abby Reece loved feeding the goats, piece by piece! She would laugh and laugh each time they licked her fingers.
While Abby was busy with the goats, Nate found a turkey feather!!
This place also had a HUGE corn pen for the kids to play & dig in. Luckily, Abby didn't try to eat it too much. (This bodes well for our upcoming beach trip...hopefully she won't dig & eat the sand too much!)
BEST SLIDE EVER! Nate wore himself out running up the hill to do this slide so many times. We were 1 of 5 families at the whole farm, so we were able to go down the slide as many times as we wanted! Nate went with each of us, by himself, and even on his belly a few times! It was a fast & bumpy slide, and even Greg & I had a ball on it. As you can see from Abby's face, she didn't love it....but at least she was a good sport and didn't cry.
Winding down after the slide....we tried a few more things....the seesaw, playground, horsey slides (pictured here), the duck races, and bouncy balls.
It was a great family afternoon & I only wish we had discovered this place sooner!

Lucky Lad Farms was a lot of fun. Who would have guessed that Abby would be our brave one? I guess this means we are going to have to get her a puppy one day.
OH HOW FUN!! I want more info on that! Yay for your showings too!
Mike read the blog and the first thing he said was..."Greg needs new shoes." HAHAHA! Can we say Rick Jr. Don't worry about the kids being cute, just Greg's shoes having worn out soles. bless him
Sounds like it was great fun and yes you will have to get Abby a puppy one day. Regarding Greg's shoes maybe he will get new ones when he gets a new Titan's hat!
hilarious that greg is getting ragged on in this post! bec - I didnt even notice till you/mike pointed it out about his soles! I had to go back and look at the pics! LOL
I would get new sneakers more often but I have a really hard time finding stores that sell my preferred version of vintage Reeboks.
There is this thing called the internet....you can find almost anything.
